facts about... records

I do not know whether 2013 has been a record year for setting world records but it has certainly seen some strange ones. Here are some you may have missed.

3. In Thailand 4,483 people swung hula hoops to music for seven minutes to set a new world record.
4. A Thai couple also set a record for the world's longest kiss by locking lips for 58hr 35min 58sec.
5. At Virginia Beach, 1,086 people did cartwheels simultaneously to double the old record
7. The Irish also set a new mark with a gathering of 257 people with Mohawk-style haircuts.
8. A "LaughFest" event in Michigan made its mark with 1,544 people wearing false moustaches.

10. Australia set a record for the world's biggest tea bag (weighing 151kg) and hopes next year to have a record cup to make it in.
